Could you volunteer to help young people?

The Woodland Beaver Scouts at the 1st Stanstead Abbotts & St Margaret's Scout Group need extra adult volunteers from September 2015. Would you, or someone you know, like to join our great team of volunteers?

Two of our fantastic Woodland Beaver Leaders are stepping down from the team after helping for several years. This leaves our Thursday evening Beaver Colony in need of two additional adults from September. We need to replace the adults who are leaving so that the team can continue running all their exciting evenings and have the required adult:child ratios for all their adventures.

With lots of support and training available, we've written a job advert to tell people all about being a volunteer. Some of the many other benefits of volunteering are described in the job advert.

We can offer support to new adults, backed with sound financial support and a huge range of activity equipment. We have a well-qualified, experienced, enthusiastic and most importantly very sociable adult team.

No previous experience necessary. Or maybe you know of someone already with a volunteer role who is looking for a new challenge with a new team?

Our Scout Group is buzzing with activity and is a great place to volunteer. With two Beaver Scout Colonies, two Cub Scout Packs and a large Scout Troop, we have over 140 boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years old, meeting on four nights of the week in two buildings. Despite having over 35 adults volunteering with the Group, we are always looking for more adult volunteers to let us expand the opportunities we offer young people.

Check out our website, Facebook page and Twitter feed to get a flavour of the great stuff that we do.

Please contact us now if you, or anyone you know, might be able to help.

Thank you

I'm really pleased to say that three new adults have contacted us as a result of our recent recruitment campaign.

We're still looking for even more adult volunteers, so do please get in touch with us if you'd like to join the adventure too.

The more adults that help, the more activities and opportunities we can offer to local young people.

Thank you
