Restaurant where kids can play..
Does anyone know of a daytime restaurant anywhere nearby where kids are welcome and perhaps there's a play-area when they can go to get rid of some energy?
cheers,
Matt

the Rose and Crown and the pub next door to Van Hagues both have play areas and do food. If you want something a bit more up market Three Lakes is nice, if the weather is good the kids can run around outside on the grass between courses, there is no play area but the staff have always been very welcoming to our kids and we spread out on the table with pens, paper & toys.

There is always the Jolly Fishermen in Stanstead Abbotts. Kids welcome. No play area but a large green next to it and plenty of hungry ducks, so take a bag of bread. (There are rails nest to thye river, so the kids can feed them safely). A short drive or if you really want them to burn of some energy cycle.

The Cowper Arms at Letty Green has an outside play area for children and they also offer a childs menu. They could also let off steam on the nearby Cole Green Way, and Mums and Dads walk off their lunch.

The Jolly Waggoners in Much Hadham is great on a nice day. Animals and large garden, great food too.

Bit further but what about The Moor Hen just past the Dusty Miller (Harlow) straight over the 414 roundabout towards Gilston, do a right down the side of the Dusty Miller. They have a BIG outside play area and an indoor soft play/climbing area. GREAT for kids.
