Second hand bookshop
I have just been told by a neighbour that there is a new bookshop open in town. As I am a bookworm this is of great interest to me. Can anyone give me any details as to said bookshop whereabouts.

Yes, there is I walked past it the other day. As it's Friday night and I have had a glass of wine I can't remember exactly where it is but it is (I think!) in what was the frame shop by Andrew's chemist. That side of the High Street anyway. I'm going to the library tomorrow so will have a look and let you know - and I won't have a drink before I go!

It's next door to the ciro! chiro! crop! the people who do feet. I went to go in yesterday and although the sign said they should be open but they were closed.
Oh! can anyone spell chiropodist?

Well I found it but they specialize in military subjects. Not my cup of tea at all. However, they do have a few other genres but not a great amount of choice. The owners seem to be very friendly and enjoy a good chat so if you're interested in war subjects then this is the shop for you. In the meantime I will be sticking to the charity shops in town for my book hunting.
Thanks for all your helpful replies.

yes, i asked about bringing some of my books down to swap or sell, they're only interested in non-fiction...seems a shame to concentrate on non-fiction only, but there you go[V]

Good second hand book shops are very hard to find around here. I suppose there is always EBay. It's not the same as actually holding the book and flicking through the pages though. I'm sure that there used to be an antiquarian bookshop in Hertford, but that was years ago and I think it is long gone now.

Hi Bolly, yes I visit Oxfam bookshop quite often and it is very good. However, it would be nice to be able to have somewhere that will also purchase collectable books.
