Wulfrath CrestThe original signing of the Pledge of Friendship with the town of Wülfrath in Germany took place in 1971.

In the Pledge of Friendship, people of both towns expressed their solemn intentions to maintain and foster links of friendship by encouraging visits by their citizens and by regular exchange of news, information and opinions.

Since that time renewals of the Pledge of Friendship have been signed bi-anually and many contacts, friendships and exchange visits have been made by individuals and organisations and the original ideals continue to flourish.

The Ware Swimming and Wülfrath Swimming Clubs have exchanged visits alternating each year between Ware and Wülfrath, this is a very happy social visit culminating in a close fought swimming gala.

Chauncy School have exchanged visits with the Wülfrath school over the years.

The Angel public house exchanged with Buddy's Bar from Wülfrath. The Deutche Sanger Choir and the Frülling Hoffer Choir have visited Ware many times as have the Green and White Marching Band.

The Ware Town Twinning Committee gives help to any organisation or individual who wishes to meet like minded people in Wülfrath.

If you have visited Wülfrath, have hosted anybody and have lost contact with your friends, the committee may be able to help in reuniting you and your friends.

Their are some teenagers from Wülfrath looking for Pen Pals with the aim of improving their language skills and possibly exchanging visits in the future. If you are interested please contact the secretary of the Town Twinning Committee.

Wulfrath Signpost In WareThe town of WüIfrath is about the same size as Ware and is situated approximately 12 miles north of Dusseldorf. Why not visit their web site at www.wuelfrath.de
