Conditons for Hire
- Hire of the premises is restricted to persons over the age of 18 years.
- Bookings for parties at the hall are restricted to under 12s and adult birthday parties for 30+ years of age.
- The premises are not licensed to sell alcoholic drinks, but there will be no objection to serving them to guests. If hirers wish to sell alcoholic drinks, it is their responsibility to acquire the relevant licence.
- Smoking is prohibited in the building and in the frontage of the building. Those wishing to smoke may use the area outside at the back of the hall.
- If sound reproduction is used, the noise level must be carefully supervised to avoid disturbing our neighbours.
- The fee for hire of the premises will be as advertised or otherwise agreed, and must be paid at least four weeks before the function. A £200 deposit may be applicable at the time of booking and this will be held against breakage, damage or contravention of conditions. Up to £100 of this deposit may be withheld if the building is left in such a condition that extra cleaning is required. All hirers are responsible for the security of the building as they will be accountable for any damage occurring during the hire period.
- The premises will be made available from the time stated on the booking form and the building should be vacated by the time that is stated on the booking form.
- In the event that these conditions are not adhered to, the Committee may charge the hirer for any additional costs that have been incurred. Failure to vacate the building at the stated time may result in the additional time being charged at the full hourly rate.
Ware Drill Hall Association Ltd disclaims any responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property. Hirers are advised to cover their bookings by taking out appropriate insurance against both physical risks and liabilities.
Any illegal activities by users will be reported to the police.
