Welcome to Ware U3A

The Third Age Trust is the national representative body for the University of Third Age (U3A) movement in the UK. There are currently 734 U3As in the UK with 229,072 individual members.

U3As are democratic, self-funded and self-managed organisations. They exist to provide a wide range of educational, creative, social and sporting activities at minimal cost. They draw upon the knowledge, experience and skills of their members to organise interest groups in accordance with the wishes of the membership.

They are open to anyone who has retired from full time employment, this includes those who are working part time. There are no lower or upper age limits. No educational qualifications are required, and none are given - these lifelong learning opportunities are for your own interest and fun.

Ware U3A was launched in September 2008 and has over 550 members. We have a monthly meeting on the second Wednesday of the month held at Wodson Park Sports Centre (upstairs in the Wadesmill Suite). Please see the Events page for futher details. We do appreciate that the change of location from central Ware may cause problems for some people, particularly those with mobility problems. If you, or someone you know, is unable to get to Wodson Park due to mobility problems, please email us on info@wareu3a.co.uk
