layer of dust this morning

Anyone else wake up to a layer of dust on their cars and bins this morning?

Yup, was mentioned on the weather forecast that it's come from the Sahara!

Yes I saw that. Well at least I got some exercise cleaning and polishing the car and will probably find another layer tomorrow!

One of the things that surprised me here was the pollen, it comes from the pine trees grown here for the timber and on a breezy day in spring you can see the clouds of pollen being blown along. I doubt its taken six months to reach Ware though! Dust from the Sahara is not unusual as I can remember it a few times in years gone by.

when we were in North Carolina visiting our son this time last year the pollen there like AndyB says blowing all over the place. Cars were covered in this yellow stuff as were your clothes and skin.
