The Vine...finally!!!
Re: The Vine...finally!!!
Thank goodness for the Waterside, is all I can say...
Re: The Vine...finally!!!
Well, at least we now know where not to go in Ware, there are plenty of other places.
Re: The Vine...finally!!!
I checked out their website and was saddened to read their menu. I miss the early days of the Vine and am hoping that the Lodge will improve the gastronomical offerings in the town as sadly there are fewer and fewer places worthy of my custom.
I certainly won't be visiting the Snug

I could be completely wrong but I heard the Lodge is part of Jacobys and will be mainly just a bar, anyone else know anything?JudieT wrote:I checked out their website and was saddened to read their menu. Amazing what you can find on the internet, saw the below in the ad for a bar manager for the Lodge.
Our aim with this new venture is to raise the bar on innovative cocktails, coupled with delivering live acoustic music & DJ’s, as we open an edgy new cocktail bar offering crafted cocktails and a great range of champagnes, wines, beers and spirits.
So there you have it!

To be honest, I visited The Snug on both the opening evening (Friday) just for drinks and then Sunday for some food which was very nice.
The prices are not as high as people keep suggesting - if you go for the most expensive wine then yes it is nearly £9 for a large glass but that is the same in most places in town including The Waterside, there is cheaper wine on the menu. Two pints of Peroni is £9 which is actually cheaper than The Punch House which charges £9.50 for two Peroni's.
It is a 'pop up' at the moment, which means it is temporary - lets save judgement until it has had the refurb and opens properly.
