Best optician in town/area

Hello first time poster just checking in from Hertford.net, although I now work in Ware, so hello to all.

Have used Boots Opticians in Hertford the last few years but while I've found the quality of the dispensing staff to be great the actual opticians seem to be hit and miss, plus they move so regularly you never see the same one from year to year. Any recommends for opticians who have been around for a while and hopefully will be around for a while more? Looking at Hertford/Ware, possibly Hoddesdon.

I've been going to Aves in the High Street for years now. I have found their service second to none, and the prices very fair for the service you get, obviously not as cheap as the big chains,but there is cheapness and value for money. People do not always seem able to differentiate between the two.

Another vote for Aves. Not the cheapest but highly recommended. They are extremely thorough and very friendly. I have used them for years and would not consider going to a different optician unless there was no choice!

A third recommendation for Aves, always good and thorough. I'd say they weren't that expensive, they do have the "bargain" drawer if cost is a main consideration but they also sell designer frames if you wish. They are happy to give impartial advice and recommendations too.

Another vote for Aves - I've never ever thought of going anyware else as I've always had excellent service.

Yep - Aves. From my wife's and my previous experience, they strive to get things exactly right.
